Parichehr Kazemi is an academic writer and speaker who specializes in the study of social movements, social media, and women's resistance in authoritarian regimes. She is currently completing her PhD in Political Science at the University of Oregon and has spoken about, written, and presented on her research around the world. She is also an experienced teacher, having taught courses and led discussions on political communication, political theory, and comparative politics at Oregon. Interests
Parichehr is interested in exploring the intersection of digital technology, politics, and social change. In addition to researching these topics, she is actively involved in activism efforts as a member organizer of her local labor union (GTFF 3544), a graduate student mentor, and women's rights activist. She is also an avid reader, traveler, and dog mom.
